Reports
The Reports tab answers "how did the tills do?" over any period. It reads the sales rung up at a till, the refunds given at a till, and the cash difference of every shift that closed in the period.
You need kahunacart.pos.manage to open it.
Run a report
Open Point of sale → Reports and choose two things.
The period. Pick one of these, or enter two dates:
- Today
- Yesterday
- Last 7 days
- Last 30 days
- This month
- Last month
How to group it. Pick one:
| Group by | One row for each |
|---|---|
| Register | Till. Useful for comparing counters. |
| Staff | Person serving. Useful for seeing who sold what. |
| Location | Pickup location. Useful for comparing shops. |
| Tender | Way of paying: cash, card by provider, store credit, gift card, pay link. |
What the columns mean
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Sales | How many counter sales. |
| Total | What those sales came to. |
| Refunds | What was refunded at a till in the period. A refund to a card counts once its payment provider has confirmed it. |
| Discounts | Discount codes, automatic sales and staff discounts taken off. |
| Tax | Tax charged on those sales. |
Grouped by tender, each payment counts once, so a sale paid part in cash and part by card counts under both. That table shows Payments, Total and Refunds, without discounts and tax, which belong to a sale rather than to a way of paying.
A totals row sits at the bottom. When you group by tender, a sale paid two ways counts once under each way, and the figure is the amount taken that way.
Under the table is a list of the shifts that closed in the period, each with its cash difference. Open Point of sale → Shifts to look at one in full.
Payments on earlier orders
Money the till took for an order it didn't sell, such as a booking's balance or an order placed online, is a payment and not a sale. Grouped by Tender, it counts under the way it was paid, with every other payment. Grouped by Register, Staff or Location, it is its own line, Payments on earlier orders, under the totals row, with how many orders and how much. It is never added to the sales count or the sales total, so those stay the number of sales you rang up. The line is in the CSV too.

Counter sales with the rest of your store
Counter sales are ordinary orders, so KahunaCart's own reports include them. Its sales reports can be narrowed and split by channel, which separates counter sales from online ones, and by location. The order list has a Counter sales link, and an order export can include the register and the person who served.
