What a KahunaCart license lets you do with the plugin, its add-ons and its paid themes.

This is the license for KahunaCart and everything sold with it on this site: the KahunaCart plugin, its paid add-ons and its paid themes (together, "KahunaCart Products"). They are made by Trilby Media, LLC. It is the same license Grav Premium uses, with the names changed and the per-site rule from our terms written in.

What you get

Trilby Media, LLC grants you a non-expiring, non-exclusive license to use the KahunaCart Products you have bought, on the site your license key is for.

Each purchase gives you one license key, and a key is for one production site. Add-ons and themes you buy attach to the same key as the plugin. The key comes with a year of updates and support. If you don't renew, the version you have keeps working; you just stop receiving new versions and support until you renew.

You can

  • Use the KahunaCart Products on the one production site your key is for.
  • Use them on the development, testing and staging copies of that site.
  • Change them to suit that site. Your changed versions are covered by this license and can't be sold or given away.
  • Build a store for a client on the client's own license key, for a site the client owns.

You can't

  • Share your license key or your downloads with anybody else, publicly or privately.
  • Use one key for more than one production site, or for a store you run for somebody else.
  • Give away or sell the KahunaCart Products, or changed versions of them, on their own or bundled with anything else.
  • Use them to build a product that lets other people build their own stores or sites with them (a "store builder" or "theme builder").
  • Make a theme, plugin, add-on or skeleton from them and offer it to other people, free or paid.

In plain terms: use KahunaCart for any store you like, as long as it isn't competing with KahunaCart or passing our work on to people who haven't bought it.

Free themes

The free KahunaCart themes (Kahuna, Slate, Pebble) are open source under the MIT license, which comes with each theme. This license covers the paid ones.

When it ends

The license lasts as long as you keep to it. If a key is shared or used against these rules, we can revoke it, and the sites using it lose updates and support. A refunded purchase ends the license for what was refunded.

Definitions

  • Licensee: the person or business that bought the license.
  • KahunaCart Products: the KahunaCart plugin, add-ons and paid themes available after buying a license key.
  • Production site: a site that real shoppers use.
  • Client: a person or business you build a site for, who owns that site.
