How it works
Apply, share, get paid
1. Apply
Fill in the short form: your name, your email, where you'll share KahunaCart and how you'd like to be paid, then confirm your email. Already have a kahunacart.com account? Sign in and apply from it. We read every application and email you once we've decided.
2. Share your link or coupon
Your link and your coupon code are waiting on the Affiliate tab. Anyone who clicks your link and buys within 60 days counts as yours. A customer who types your code at checkout counts as yours too, even without a click.
3. Get paid every month
Each commission waits 30 days in case the order is refunded. Then it's ready to pay, and once you're owed $50 or more it goes out with that month's payouts: as store credit with 20% added, or by PayPal.
What you earn
30% of what the customer pays
You earn 30% of what the customer pays for a new purchase, after any discount and before tax.
- A KahunaCart licence at $249 earns you $74.70.
- An add-on at $149 earns you $44.70.
- A licence and two $149 add-ons in one order, $547 in all, earns you $164.10.
- A customer with a discount code earns you 30% of what they actually paid.
- Renewals of a licence a customer already has don't earn a commission. You earn on new purchases.

Before you apply
What you need
- A kahunacart.com account, which we make for you. It's free, and it's where your link, your earnings and your payouts live. You don't need one to apply: if we approve you, we make your account and email you a link to choose a password. Already have one, from a purchase or an earlier order? Sign in and apply from it, or apply with the same email address and we'll add the program to that account.
- Somewhere to share KahunaCart. A website, a blog, a channel, a newsletter or a list of clients. Tell us about it when you apply.
- A tax form before your first payout. A W-9 if you're in the US, or a W-8BEN if you're not (a W-8BEN-E for a company outside the US). You fill it in on the Affiliate tab. We collect and total this information, but we don't file anything for you or give tax advice.
- A way to be paid. Store credit needs nothing more. PayPal needs your PayPal email address.

Common questions
Do I need to have bought KahunaCart?
No, and you don't need an account to apply either. Fill in the application form and confirm your email. If we approve you, we make your kahunacart.com account and email you a link to choose a password. That account is where your link and your earnings live.
I already have a kahunacart.com account. How do I apply?
Sign in and apply from the Affiliate tab, where the form already knows who you are. If you use the public form with the same email instead, that's fine too: once we approve you, the program is added to the account you already have, and you sign in with your usual password.
How long does a click count for?
60 days. If someone clicks your link and buys within 60 days, the sale is yours. If they click another partner's link after yours, the last click before the purchase gets the credit.
What if the customer uses my coupon?
The sale is yours, with or without a click. A coupon beats a link, so a customer who clicked someone else's link and then types your code counts as yours.
Can I buy through my own link?
No. Orders you place yourself aren't credited to you.
What happens when an order is refunded?
The commission goes with it. That's why each commission waits 30 days before it's ready to pay. If a refund or a chargeback comes after you've been paid, the amount comes off your next payout.
Do I earn on renewals?
No. You earn on new purchases, such as a licence or an add-on. Renewals of a licence the customer already has don't earn a commission.
When and how do I get paid?
Once a month, as soon as what's ready to pay reaches $50. Choose store credit with 20% added, or PayPal. Under $50, your balance carries over to the next month.
Can I advertise on the KahunaCart or Grav names, or post my code on coupon sites?
No. Search ads on the KahunaCart or Grav names, coupon and deal sites, and spam aren't allowed. The terms list everything that isn't.
Do I need to say I'm an affiliate?
Yes. Say plainly, close to your link or code, that you earn a commission when someone buys through it. The FTC's endorsement guides in the US, and similar rules elsewhere, require it.
