You can test a whole sale before you connect Stripe, PayPal or Polar. The built-in offline payment method is on by default: it places the order with payment status pending, and you mark it paid by hand.
Place the order
- In the admin, open KahunaCart → Products and click New product. Enter a Title, set a Price on the default variant, set Status to Published and click Save.
- Visit
/shopand open your product. - Add it to the cart, go to
/shop/cartand click Checkout. - Enter an email address and a billing address.
- Pick Bank Transfer and place the order.
Mark it paid
- In the admin, open KahunaCart → Orders and open the new order.
- Click Mark paid.
The payment status is now paid, and the customer gets the payment-received email once the scheduler has run.
Note
Wipe your test orders before you open the store with bin/plugin kahunacart reset --orders --keep-settings. It keeps products, settings, tax, shipping and coupons. See What should I check before my store goes live?
To stop offering bank transfer once a real provider is connected, set offline.enabled to false.
