KahunaCart runs inside a Grav 2 site on your own hosting. Check this list before you buy or install.
Requirements
- Grav 2.1 or later. KahunaCart does not run on Grav 1.7.
- The Admin plugin 2.0 or later (Admin Next). KahunaCart's admin screens run inside it.
- The API plugin. Every admin screen and action goes through it.
- PHP 8.3 or later with PDO.
- A database. SQLite works out of the box with no setup. MySQL 8+, MariaDB 10.6+ and PostgreSQL 14+ are also supported.
- The Email plugin, for order confirmations and other emails. It is not installed for you. Without it, every email job fails with
Email plugin is not available. - Grav's scheduler in cron. Emails, download links, expired stock holds and cart cleanup are background jobs, and the scheduler is what keeps them running.
Hosting is not included. KahunaCart keeps your products, customers and orders in your own database, on your own server.
The two that get missed
Most "it installed but nothing happens" requests come down to the last two items. A store without the Email plugin takes orders but never emails anyone. A store without the scheduler in cron sends some emails and misses others: anything queued from the admin, every retry, and the regular sweeps wait for a scheduler that never comes.
