Shipping works like tax. With no shipping zones, one flat rate applies to any order with a physical item. Create a zone and the customer's address picks the methods they are offered instead.
Carts with only digital products are never charged shipping.
Charge one flat rate
- Open KahunaCart → Settings and the Commerce tab.
- Under Shipping, set Flat Shipping Rate to an amount in your store currency.
- Set Flat Shipping Label to the name shown on receipts.
- Click Save.
Offer methods by location
- Open KahunaCart → Setup → Shipping and click New zone.
- Enter a Name and set its Priority in the matching order.
- Fill in Countries, Regions and Postcodes, comma separated. An empty field matches anything.
- Click Add method, then enter a Label, choose a Type and set the Cost.
- Click Create zone.
"We are unable to ship to that address"
The address matched no shipping zone. Add a catch-all zone with no countries, regions or postcodes as the last zone in the list, so everywhere else gets a fallback rate.
A method is missing at checkout
A free-shipping threshold the cart has not reached, or weight bands that do not cover the order's weight, remove a method. Thresholds are tested against the items subtotal, so a discount can push a cart below one.
