Let a place by the night. A holiday cottage, a B&B room, a campsite pitch, a cabin, a narrowboat, a kayak for the afternoon: anything booked from a date to a date rather than at a time of day, sold on your own product pages and paid for through the basket you already have.

• Guests pick an arrival and a departure on a two-month calendar that draws a changeover day as half taken and half free, and the panel prices it before they press anything: each rate band, the extra guests, the cleaning fee, the total and what is due today.
• Price the year with dated bands laid over the property's own rate, overlapping on purpose, with a weekend rate, a minimum stay and arrival days that apply only to the weeks that need them.
• Take thirty per cent at checkout and collect the rest a set number of days before arrival, with the guest asked by email a few days early and you told the moment the date passes unpaid. Nothing is ever cancelled automatically.
• Keep Airbnb, VRBO and Booking.com in step both ways, with one link out and one link in per site, and their whole-date reservations read as the nights those dates really cover.
• Your season as bars in the admin and on the staff tablet, who is arriving and leaving today, and a screen that answers night by night why anything is not on offer.
